Fitness has always been a part of Kelly’s life. She started out as a gymnast at the age of 7 and ended her career at the age of 14. She began weight training at the age of 15 to help her minimize the back pain she sustained from a nasty fall she took on the uneven parallel bars. The minute she picked up her first dumbbell she was hooked. At the age of 16 she competed in her first figure competition in San Francisco, CA and took first place. She continued competing successfully until she took a break when she underwent spinal fusion at the age of 20. When Kelly was 24 she was put on bed rest for her pregnancy with triplet girls. She remained there for 3 months unable to get out of bed. She successfully gave birth to her beautiful little girls but had the task ahead of regaining her strength due to the muscle atrophy that took place while on bed rest. Kelly, now 33, loves her career in training. Having gone through such traumatic experiences she understands what it is to be fit as well as what happens to the body when left inactive. Kelly’s expertise lies in her ability to relate to the athlete as well as those new to fitness or those trying to get back into shape.
